Challenge
Nova pay-TV wanted to communicate directly to the press, in order to increase publicity around the 5th season of Nip/Tuck. V+O was asked to create a differentiated and creative communication vehicle addressed to the specific target audience (journalists) in order to gain their attention and inspire them to publish articles for an already known and very successful TV series.
Idea
4 different conceptual and imaginative press kits were created under the umbrella concept of "Silicon Beauty" and the extensive use of silicon. The mailing of 4 different press kits was chosen as a strategic mechanism to create a greater buzz and a strong word of mouth aftereffect. The journalists of each media house received a different press kit which led to a big hype effect amongst the journalists
Results
In the media industry the activation was really successful as the press responded with numerous articles that gained the attention of the audience.
