V+O COMMUNICATION was honored with the award for the best communication campaign for the "NIVEA Modernization" project in the European Excellence Awards, held in Amsterdam on the 8th of December 2011.
The award involves the design, development and implementation of an integrated communication strategy plan: a multifaceted program with great collaborations, competitions, events, BTL activities, television-program sponsorships that renewed the image of NIVEA, brought the brand closer to consumers and placed it in the 1st place of Famous Brands 2011, in the category of cosmetics.
Michael Haehnel, General Manager of Beiersdorf Hellas stated on the occasion: "Our priority was to refresh the brand's image and all actions had a common purpose; to highlight its all-time classic character and bring the brand closer to consumers. V+O’s strategic approach decisively contributed to the recognition of the campaign by a European institution demonstrating NIVEA’s communication as a case study for other countries as well".
The President of V+O, Thomas Varvitsiotis cited: "This award is an additional proof of the successful cooperation between BDF and V+O, reaffirming our commitment and dedication to the creation of an integrated strategy and value-added activities".
European Excellence Awards constitute an acknowledged institution organized for the fifth consecutive year by Communication Director magazine, one of the most prestigious publications for Communication and Public Relations in Europe, which attracted a total of 1300 nominations.
