As V+O COMMUNICATION celebrates a decade of successful presence, it has designed and started implementing a social responsibility project that aims at supporting 10 NGOs that were voted by its employees.
These 10 NGOs are - in alphabetical order: Act Up, ActionAid, the Arogi Social Care Foundation, Cerebral Palsy Greece, the Hatzikiriakio Foundation of Child Protection, the Hellenic Society for Disabled Children (ELEPAP), Kivotos tou Kosmou (Ark of the World), Make a Wish Greece, SOS Children's Villages, and WWF.
V+O aims at supporting each of these NGOs within the next months in a way that involves both its employees and its clients. Volunteering, communication support of their operations and activities, support in attracting sponsorships and fundraising, are some of the ways with which V+O intends to help out.
At the same time, V+O will reach out to its extended client base in order to attract further support for the NGOs, encouraging its clients to endorse this effort either by the engagement of their employees or by contributions in kind.
"By its nature, V+O often stands between the corporate and the non-governmental sectors and is very familiar with both worlds, having designed and implemented numerous social responsibility projects throughout the years. Our goal is to reinforce our contribution to NGOs by making it even more tangible, as well as to actively promote volunteerism among our employees", stated Thomas Varvitsiotis, V+O's president.
